The Bob Dylan Band, celebrate Dylan’s music with a high energy approach to songs from the prolific periods of his writing from the 60’sto modern times. Scripted with anecdotal commentary, the show is about the songs and the band and draws inspiration from all the great Dylan bands from the band to the line-up he uses today. With some initial acoustic songs, most of the show is the full band, with original arrangements and inspired covers of Dylan’s great songs. Artist and printmaker Robert Sellar gifted a collection of his work to Flowerfield Arts Centre and each year we exhibit it for the public to enjoy and to say 'Thank you' to Robert for his extraordinary gift.
A quiet man, he was a master printmaker and his work compares with other post-modernist printmakers like Julian Trevelyan and Eric Ravilious. Admission free

11 Jan - 24 Feb OFF HER HEAD, AMANDA WALKER

Amanda produces work that mixes the seen and unseen, the real and the imaginary. This work delves deep into the subconscious and the soul. As the artist says, "I like to relate my subconscious with the hand that I sketch, paint or sculpt, most of the time not knowing what I am going to produce." Born in the 1970s in Londonderry, Amanda attended North West Regional College and later Wimbledon School of Art and Bath College of Higher education, where she studied for her degree in Fine Arts. Her artistic journey has led to working as an illustrator with Guildhall Press; photography technician; craft work in potteries; supporting creative workshops; assisting with mental health charities and her own studio work at Bishop Street studios where she is currently based. Monochrome and colour, sharp lines and atmospheric moods, coming together as a fascinating demonstration of the scope of printmaking as an art form. This exhibition represents the latest work from Derry Print Workshop's printmaking collective - Matthew Braithwaite, Jane Turner Moore, Stephanie Gaumond, Paul Barwise, Joe Barwise, Rebecca Strain and Andrew Hepburn. The fine art prints exhibition features examples of etchings, collagraph prints, relief prints, photopolymer etchings, cyanotypes and screenprints. Admission free. Monday to Saturday, 9.30am-5pm

Flowerfield Arts Centre
We're delighted to present this stunning exhibition of artwork (inspired by the current Looking at Landscape exhibition at the Ulster Museum) produced by Year 11 GCSE pupils from St Joseph's College, Loreto College and Coleraine Grammar School.
Funded by the Shared Education Signature Project, this was a brilliant creative opportunity for the pupils to work alongside local artist Sarah Carrington. Admission Free

Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre
Flints and Fishes explores the story of the first people to move to the Causeway region almost 10,000 years ago. While the original hunter-gatherers survived along the coasts and rivers, local sites and archaeology show how the arrival of the first farmers allowed people to take control of their environment and spread across the area. Find out about the sites these prehistoric people left behind and see the intriguing prehistoric discoveries on display. Admission free. Monday to Saturday, 9.30am-5pm
Mon 5 Feb MOSAIC OF LIFE
Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre
Launch of new permanent artwork 11am
Between September and December 2017 artist Helene Byrne of Dunseverick Art facilitated a series of mosaic workshops in the Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre. Open to all those over 55 who wished to experience the craft of mosaic-making, the group’s work has taken shape and this exhibition celebrates and showcases a beautiful collaborative commission for permanent display right here at the Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre. We welcome back all those who contributed for this very special unveiling of this impressive piece of work on Monday 5 February at 11am - all welcome, refreshments provided. This project was part of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s commitment in providing arts projects to groups and individuals who do not normally have access to arts workshops. One participant said ‘I’ve surprised myself and others by what I can do, these activities have given me confidence to try different things’. The Mosaic of Life project is funded by Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council and by Arts Council of Northern Ireland’s Arts and Older People programme. Admission Free. Gold, jewellery, fine cloths, personal protection, battles for land, destruction of the forests, industrialisation… all may sound familiar in today’s headlines. However, our fascination with material possessions and the power struggles that result, began with the Bronze Age. Bronze Age communities have left us with not only their stone monuments but fascinating hordes of weapons, grave goods and tools. This exhibition explores the Bronze Age in the Causeway Region and displays many of the great archaeological discoveries from this region.
